14060M question

Ok,

So I have a 14060M, no date, two line (non cosc). It is a Z serial number, which correlates with a watch produced in 2006.

The bracelet, however, is a MA12, which correlates to a 2005 model.

From my knowledge, this watch had one previous owner, from whom I have the original paperwork from 2006. Any insight on this?

Watch serial prefixes and bracelet codes do not absolutely correlate to a specific year or date. This is a trap that many fall into; assuming that Internet charts are accurate or provided by Rolex.

Your "codes" are close enough to be considered accurate to within a year either way. It could be further concluded that they were likely original at manufacture.

Thank you. Someone also just pointed out to me that my model has a flat "S" in the word Submariner. Is this something to be considered in buying one, or is it pretty irrelevant?

My 14060M is a D serial (2005-2006) has a MA clasp code and flat "S" font.
It is just a font change by Rolex and it looks slightly different than the font they used a few years prior. It isn't anything special just small unique detail changes for certain model ranges.
