Pam Submersible

Anyone have any experience with the Panerai Submersible series?

I am really interested in the PAM 00243 and the PAM 00024

If Rolex does not introduce something I want at Baselworld in April then one of the watches listed above may be my next watch

I had a look at the 243, that is a big watch, but did feel very comfortable on the wrist.

Both are great choices, if you like a little lighter watch with a twist, the 25 is Ti and has a hobnail dial.

The 243 wears big, more due to the weight than anything else. But is a great looking watch and has awesome wrist presence.

I have had all three that I have mentioned and recently wanted another submersible so I picked up a 106 which is the Ti sub on bracelet. I have it on a strap right now, but it just gives you lots of different options.

Thanks guys. I am not familiar with a Hobnail dial, but I will look a little closer on the Panerai website.

I looked at the hobnail dial... very nice, it almost gives it a carbon fiber appearance

I like the 25 better than the plain dials...plus the grey-ish look of the titanium is nice.

Only thing I don't like about the submersible is that it doesn't fit easily under long sleeves...so for me, it's a spring/summer short-sleeve shirt kid of watch.

Thanks. The hobnail dial is nice. My AD is out of the Submersibles and said that shipping on Panerais have slowed down. I heard there is a rumored price increase set for April 1st on Panerai and they will begin shipping again soon after.

Yeppers...Heard that, too. 12-14%...not surprised given the dollar devaluation.

Had a 24 A series. Felt great. Everyone seem to notice it & gave positive comments. But something wasn't quite right after a Yacht Master. The watch wobbles as the auto mechanism sits on your wrist. Bezel was loose fitting. Quite a thick piece of metal to have on your wrist all day. Sold it & got myself another Yacht Master. Would still love to buy another Panerai & hope to one day.
