Looking forward to those pics Admin!!

Anyway got to the Ad today and told him that I was rather disapointed with the fact that I would have to wait another three weeks for my 98 :( He promised me that I would get the very first 98 and Deepsea (also my Rolex AD). He said he would make the wait worth it. The Panerai bag he gave me obviousely had a few extra surprises in there, so lets see what we have here:

Content of the bag: Panerai box :D two small Rolex boxs (????) another small bag and a couple Panerai books. Awesome!!!!

Rolex marked boxs have, as expected, Rolex promotional material. A very well made wallet and key holder. Impecabbly made but rather gauche what with the ROLEXROLEXROLEX design. Still cool freebies.

Really cool books, tons of info. Awesome!!!

Now for the main event

Wow, these pics do not do it justice. Just wow.

And he threw in a very nice OEM Panerai brown strap!!!!!!

Awesome watch!!!!

Lets see how that brown strap looks on the watch.

The brown strap actually works, transforms the look of the watch completely.

The fit and finish is superb, the design elegant yet sporty and fresh. Just fantastic. The leather bands seem of really good quality and will age well, although I was hoping for something along the lines of AP leather bands, or at least Breitling straps (Breitlings happen to have the very best bracelets/straps in their price range NO competition) they are still very very good indeed.

All in all a great first Panerai experience. I am definitely not going to stop with the 90 and 98. A Monopulsante is definitely in my future.

Sweet watch. The 90 has made my list of possibles. I just had a 161 delivered to my house and a 279 is on its way. I get home from overseas this weekend. Cant wait.

Absolutely stunning PAM!

I have always been hesitating to buy a PAM with date AND cyclops since (imho) the cyclops type that Panerai uses seems to distort the date??

Could you - and owner owners - confirm or deny this?

What I really love about the PAM 90 are the PR indicator and the fact that it has minute markers between the five markers. I hate having to "guess" what time it is exactly. And with the minimalistic dial design of most PAM's, you do indeed have to guess whether it's 12 or 13 minutes past, etc.

I had the same concerns but they were all banished once I actually saw the watch. The PAM 90 was the perfect introduction to Panerai for me, I NEED a date, I like cyclops and theirs is very well done, and I need minute markers.

The cyclops does not distort teh date in any way I can find. Although in certine rare over heard lighting there is a tiny white dot that forms in the bottom of the cyclops. But not really a bother.

Buy with confidence, if you can find a PAM90 jump on it. I was on a waiting list for over three months, but it was worth it

Now if only my 98 would get here
