Never looked at how many dealers there are in Lebanon but I can't imagine there are many.

Is it a pain getting any sort of Rolex over there. I can imagine it's horrendous for the more special pieces.

out of the box idea, might be the regular black dial Milguass (non-GV), which was discontinued, whereas the rest are currently available. I think you're a long time away from this becoming a collectors item though, since the Milgauss was never a highly sought after item.
Maybe that's why will make it collectible, because of the low numbers.
the original Milgauss goes for big money these days. It was discontinued and brought back to life in 2007 and again in 2014 with the Z Blue.

As stated in previous posts, there are dozens and dozens of the Subs, daytonas, etc out there in the wild and especially on the FS forum. You would be hard pressed to find more than a couple Milgauss for sale on this site.

16610LV is everywhere. They are not hard to come by and can be had at a good price. I don't believe these will shoot up in value. They are not limited so Rolex will keep making them until people stop buying them.

I'll say the BLRO. Many people love, not many yet bite the bullet now. If it is announced off production, they will be gone quickly. Can't beat the Blue & Red.

I also have high hope for white Milgauss.

Ok, I'll play.
Current lineup: that Yachtmaster with the dark grey Rhodium dial and light blue hands. And maybe the non-date SubC.

Five digit: I think the 17014 oysterquartz with the OQ version of the jubilee bracelet and the rare 19019 white gold OQ Day-Date should get more attention. And how about the burl wood dials on the yellow gold 19018 OQ Day-Date?

Steel zenith daytona 16520, kermit sub 16610LV, gmt pepsi or coke or root beer, ceramic SD4000 116600, milgauss black or white. These will be getting rare as time goes.

16520 A or P full sets / unpolished
16610LV - flat 4 will be the most sought after
116600 - SD4000. Very short production cycle

There was a guy who bought and sold many, many, Rolexes and he became a millionaire . . . he was a billionaire before.

It would be easier to win the Lotto than to buy the Roly who will make you rich...

I think the 16520 P serial, the 16710 / 3186 and the 16610LV F serial will hold well their value well, but you won't retire and live in the Riviera with the monies you'd get from that.

While I don't disagree with those who mention the 16520 Zenith and the 16610LVs. I also feel like there's not much of a "get in early" opportunity. I've been watching Zenith SS Daytonas sell for upwards of $20-25K lately. That's pretty crazy!

IMO the 16710 Pepsi is the watch to get. I missed out on a lot of good deals as recently as two years ago. The pricing since then has already jumped! But IMO it's still early enough to get a good deal, on a great watch that I think will appreciate nicely.

C'mon Chap, you seriously don't know what that means?

No one's comparing these watches to an endangered species that's dying away and disappearing. Although, these watches are not being reproduced.

1 year ago you could walk into almost any AD, at least here in the states, and buy an SD4k right out of the showcase, probably even at a discount. Now they've become much harder to find. That's what rare means in this case. Something that is becoming harder and harder to purchase, especially in new-excellent condition.

16710 Coke/Pepsi full sets. I'd also say 16610LV also full sets. Also I'd say D-Blue.

It's so hard to say as something could be discontinued soon and that could be the one to grow in value.

I recently bought a mint full set 16710 year 2000 Pepsi and I'm holding on to it. I think finding the mint full sets will prove to be hard in the future.

Back to OP, I'd say only the D-Blue out of the modern line-up.

Nos 16610lv mark 1. Will be worth a lot in 30 years. Maybe six figures.

Collectibles only spike in value that much when they are unappreciated and used as tools, such that few remain (in good condition, at least) by the time desire for them builds. That is not the spot the 16610LV1 is sitting in right now. At a completely random guess, I'd imagine that at least 80% of the current LVs will still be around and in decent shape in 30 years, which means their value won't jump.

If you want something to spike dramatically in value, you have to pick something that people are not currently treating as rare and collectible. It's the declining availability that drives the value.

I want to say that early 16610LVs, 16710-3186s, and Zenith Daytonas are great investments, but I can't shake the feeling that the ship has sailed on these from looking at recent prices.

What's surprising is prices of 16570-3186s staying relatively flat amidst all the madness. A gently-used random serial 16570, especially the underappreciated black-dialed one, seems like a solid buy at the moment.

None of them...Rolex makes too many watches and there are just too many safe queens to be rare.

I believe the biggest increase in any watch that is related to Rolex will be the Tudor Submariners especially ones that retained their original parts. Black and blue snowflakes are cool and and blue Mercedes and lollypop hand variants.
