Sized, Sealed & Delivered! (My new PO)

After being in the market for a new swiss watch, I fell in love with the 42MM b&w PO (2201.50). I'm really glad I was able to get my hands on one. Attached are some photos. Have a great weekend, cheers!

Your new PO is a beauty! Wear it in good health for years to come.

I'm picking one up Monday night and can't wait! I will post pics of mine next week. Cheers, Bill P.

I got my PO on Thursday.. I can't stop looking at it....

They are beautiful watches. I agonized for a long time whether to go the used Rolex Sub route (new was too pricey). I'm so glad i got the PO... it's perfect...

Quick and dirty pic from my iphone.... looks dirty but i think that I need to clean my phone's camera lens

Hi there...drccw

I could be wrong, but something doesn't look right with the pic (see below). The font in the date looks different to mine. Its April 2 now, and the "2" font in your pic is quite different to my date. My "2" font looks like that on the 12 at the 12 o clock position. But if you look at the "2" in the date, the font is not the same between the two in your pic.

Also I just changed the date on mine to 29, and the 9 is with the little circular loop at the bottom and don't not go in a direct diagonal line down (sorry if this doesn't make sense). I'll try and post a pic.

Also, the He valve position versus the number "50" looks not "aligned" with the position on mine.

Not trying to scare you, just an observation of mine...

I definitely see what you're saying with the He valve position...

I'm kind of a newbie with these sort of things but hmmm....

Love to see your pics. I bought mine from an authorized dealer so I was thinking that my purchase was/is safe.. anyone else wish to comment?

anyway to tell the manufacturing year without opening the case?

You're OK, Chris (drccw).

Omega has changed the date font and your HE valve is OK.

The HE valve on counterfeit Seamasters line up with the 10:00 and the real ones are slightly above.

Thanks Fr John...

I just realized my bezel was not dead on center hence, I though the He valve was not "aligned".

And good to know its not a fake - and interesting info regarding the font change.

I assume the newest PO's are with the new font... as mine is a couple of years old.

Yes, the date font changed on the cal 2500 models with the introduction of the "D" movement. All the 8500 models have the new font.

Nice!!

It's a great watch. I just sold mine to upgrade to the new 8500, but I think I miss the 42 that you have.

I had the rubber for it, which I only wore a couple times and the MESH which I LOVED!

Its a great watch.
