Can I rock this in gym shorts? Two tone SkyD

SkyD on thick nato. Look sporty and toned down.

P.S: Hopefully Rubber B come out with new straps for these 22mm lug SkyD soon.

I love that watch and I love NATO straps but that just doesn't work! Perhaps a lighter colour? Maybe grey to tone with 24hr wheel? I hope I haven't insulted you.

No offence taken, mate. The other thread on gym shorts remind to try this out.

I tried it with stripped black/grey NATO, black Perlon and dark brown Perlon and this black look the best.

And yes, it’s white dial but in actual lighting, it’s a bit of pearlescent white.

I agree with this...the nato doesn't work well with this Skydweller. Is makes it look cheaper than it really is. May be a brown leather calf strap would look much better.

If you're asking if this looks good as a more casual look for your Sky-D, no comment.

If you're asking if this can be worn to the gym, I think so. I used to come straight from work and work out, so was wearing a TT DJ. I did this for 25 years. Worked out, steamed, whirlpooled and showered. No one said anything and the watch was fine. The 42mm Sky-D is bigger and blingier than my 36mm DJ (to me), but do what you want. There are so few people who will notice or think twice, I think it's mainly in the heads of us TRFers. So if you are comfortable wearing it in that environment, have at it.

Sorry but for me

For me that reference needs to be on the oyster bracelet.

As long as you’re happy that’s all that matters though

Overall, not really a fan of the look, but maybe try it on a lighter strap as previously suggested. Tan or beige, maybe.

To each their own....but I don’t like a nato on the Skydweller, nor would I wear a Rolex to the gym.

I think you can wear it where you want on whichever type of strap / bracelet... But only after you take the case stickers off...

This is the issue I have with natos, they look great on the table but not on the wirst.

Your watch, wear it as you wish, but you ask !

That just doesn’t work together.

Protective stickers ................ really ?

I agree with your thoughts here.....that will look outstanding on a rubber B or Oysterflex. Not a fan of it on the Nato strap. Sweet Sky-D though!

I wouldn't. Neither the NATO strap nor the gym shorts work w/ the watch. But that's just my opinion.

My two pennies worth: (1) I wouldn’t wear a high end/high cost watch to the gym. Get yourself a good Casio g shock or pathfinder for that; and (2) I think the watch looks very interesting with the NATO. It’s an unusual look, and I have to say that I rather like it. I’d consider a different colour. What with all the talk in this forum about security, dressing the watch down this way is good if you’re concerned about security. It looks very un-Rolex like.

I’d wear it to the gym on its original bracelet. Dressy watch heads on NATO seems like a watchuseek forum anomaly. I’ve never seen it in real life, and I’ve never seen a wrist shot pic of it I thought looked good.

You have a great watch!

I would not do that. Fluted bezel on fabric just looks strange.. I think there would more gym appropriate watches around.

Can I rock this in gym shorts? Two tone SkyD

Nice watch; do as you wish with your watch and wear as you please obviously.

But if I had that SkyD, I wouldn't put it on a NATO because it doesn't look right to me, or if going to the gym I'd take it off anyway; are you putting it on a NATO to tone it down so you can wear it more casually? Or really to wear at the gym?
