Picked this Seamaster up in Vienna

It's a 35mm quartz, 37mm with crown. Back has standard Seamaster stamping. The AD said it was a vintage 90's model. Clearly has been polished. What are your thoughts?

Beautiful watch. Congrats.

Vienna is a fantastic city in every aspect and if one is looking for watches it's paradise. I got this Omega there in 2005 in a very nice vintage shop - that unfortunately doesn't exist anymore - and the automatic Longines I also bought there in 1999. I really love that place.

This is a photo of the back plate off of the Seamaster CAL 1425. The serial numbers are:
1952279
3963209

Do you know how to determine the year of production?

Here's the latest! After doing a lot of research on this watch. What I found is that originally it was a Seamaster CAL 1425 with a smooth gold bezel and a classic white dial from circa 1976. The back plate tells the story. A forum member found the info.

Apparently the watch in its original form must have been trashed and the Vienna watchmaker updated it and sold it to me for $600. Since I'm stuck and it looks fine (though it is restored), I'll wear it for what it is. It fits into my casual collection. Anyway, lesson learned. Thanks for the kind comments.

Still a very cool piece, and at 600 its not a complete loss. Enjoy it in good health.
