I do find the in house MT black bays too thick too so it's most likely a personal subjective thing!

I also tried on the GS snowflake, that piece is so light, it's like holding air! Incredible.

My Black Bay is ETA. I've never tried the thicker in house models.

Wow. I am not a fan of green, but that looks so good.

Much better green than the green sub.

Congrats!

Sorry I'm late Adam. For some reason I missed this thread. I remember when you said you visited Yakushima and I remember posting that you could get this watch but I've never seen you posting a larger watch than the Milgauss, but of course it means a lot to you and you made the right move. Well done my friend. A fantastic watch you have there. Enjoy! Cheers.

Thanks Flavio. I have had a few big watches, like the Tudor Heritage Chrono, Black Bay and Turtle, so I'm ok with bigger sizes; but you are right, I do usually go for mid-size. This one wwars like a 40mm for some reason. Small dial, maybe

I’ll only accept gratitude in the form of a wristshot!

Congrats on the Green Marine!

I think you'd be very lucky to find one in SE Asia. There was a Seiko event in Bangkok in late July where they were giving out raffle tickets just for the chance to buy one of three pieces available at full retail.

Thanks for the reality check. I’ve been fruitlessly seeking a hulk or JC from Australian ADs then I came across this beautiful piece. I’m in KL next week so was hoping....
Congrats to all those who’ve managed to secure one.

I missed the boat on these, but I have always wanted a Marinemaster, if I cant get one of the LE green ones, a black one will suffice. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and am worried about the size, your pic of it on your wife's wrist and Michelle's wrist shot in her thread have allayed my fears somewhat.

It is the thickness that has me worried, I can carry off the dial size as I have a flat wrist.

I am ready to pull the trigger but it seems that most ways of getting it here are online, after a huge search I have managed to source one in a shop in Coventry (about 2.5 miles drive one way) so will make a day of it next week.

Thanks for the pics Adam and Michelle, if you have any others showing the thickness on wrist I would very much appreciate it.

I have owned the SBDX001 way to many times.

Here is video I did recently comparing it to the SBDC063, which is a great alternative for people who can't do the MM size/weight.

Thank you very much, that was excellent. Your last words gave it away, and I suppose, I'm like you, I've got a sort of reverence about the MM, I will try it on and try and convince myself that it is not to big.

Thank you once again, anyone reading this, check out that vid. It's really good.

I sort of knew it was my destiny to get one of these since Baselworld, having been lucky enough to visit remote Yakushima - the island that supposedly inspired this limited edition SLA019 "Deep Forest" diver - on a media tour ten years ago.

The green really is deep, too, and quite hard to get on camera. Just a few pics for now, and probably a fuller review later

Some shots on the silicone strap . . .
Oh my - this Yacushima Island looks so incredibly beautiful.
My Deep Forest watch has inspired me to watch YouTube videos on hiking around Yakushima.Art and I have got to get there someday; would be the trip of a lifetime, as traveling there from Canada would be challenging- it’s a 33 hour flight to Japan...
