I lived my dream job, Chief Information Officer, for several Fortune 50 companies and wore a YG DayDate most of that time.

I now am mostly retired enjoying outdoor activities around the world doing something we don’t talk about here and doing woodworking. My watches for the outdoor stuff include a BLNR or a plastic watch for dangerous terrain. Woodworking... no watch. Too much of a chance of it getting caught in a machine. Casual wear includes DayDate, DateJust, Patek, etc.

So, I guess I’ve lived two dream jobs wearing a lot of watches.

You've never loved any of your jobs? That's a real shame, if i may ask, what jobs have you worked and did you have any goals or dream jobs as a kid?

Difficult question. I love what I'm doing currently, even though it only pays 'enough' I don't want to jinx it because I enjoy it so much + It took me years to get. I also dream about more than one watch! I already have my favourite<! Life's good already but keep the ideas coming.

Man, some of you guys already made it to dream job status, and congrats on that!

I guess my dream (attainable) job is ER Nurse Practitioner.
Current Job is ER Nurse and fulltime Nurse Practitioner student.
Current watch: Sub no-date.
Dream watch: Rose and Chocolate DD with diamond markers.
Attainable dream watch: TT SS/WG DJ41 fluted/blue/diamond, or SD43.

I came up POOR. Like, used the oven for heat in the winter poor. Only white kid in my 2nd grade class poor. So the idea of wearing a watch that costs as much as a decent car is still kinda strange to me. Not even really sure I want to get over that feeling.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Intersting, for sure. Politically correct? Certainly not, but that doesn't necessarily bother me in and of itself. The statement equates an all-black (with one exception) class of students to a very low income class of students. If that equivalency is factual, i.e. most majority-black schools are representative of low income populations, then is there a problem with it? Hmmm.....

I think the problem would be if that implied equivalency were incorrect....then it could be the result of an unfortunate racial stereotype. That would not be acceptable. Either way.....factual or false equivalency...I don't think he meant any ill-will by the comment. Worst case, just a poor choice of phrasing to make his point. Best case, just a bit non-PC. He is, like myself, from Flori-duh, after all.
