I just got to say it sorry....

I just think the fluted bezel on the Sky Dweller looks out of place. The dial and bracelet shout sport/tool watch to me so the bezel just seems wrong. Anyone else feel like this? If you own one I am not trying to offend. Thoughts...

Totally see what you mean considering the functionality of this piece. It's subjective really and I think the watch design is perfect. An added touch of elegance.

I dunno - the Sky Dweller looks like a DD to me, just with a dial complication.

I tried on the TT the other day and it reminded me of my DJII with a different dial... I just couldn’t get past it ... I agree with you to an extent

Thinking beyond the aesthetics, the bezel rotates, so the fluted bezel has a function: to provide grip.

I don’t agree. I think it dresses the watch up a tad. It’s a stunning piece. Although, it would be interesting to see a completely SS model.

You really don't have to apologize for being wrong.

Seriously though, I don't think the Sky Dweller looks like a sport or tool watch. What makes you think this? I think it looks more like the Day Date, albeit a bit larger and with more complications.

I couldn't disagree more. I think the TT model is amazing and the bezel just brings out some elegance.

My two cents, YMMV.

I don't think the SkyD shouts sports or tool watch. To me it looks more like a large DJ, maybe DD. The fluted bezel provides function to provide grip when rotating it so it make sense. There is no is visual element of the watch's complications associated with the bezel so I think it's best not to create "fake" numbers or other markings.

Aesthetically it doesn't work for me either like a few others in the Rolex line up. On the other hand I am sure there are some of those that I like that others aren't fond off. No big deal.

To me the fluted bezel does not look right on a watch with an oyster bracelet. Dont get me wrong I like the watch, but I would LOVE it with a tool bezel

I think it's nice. It's a really cool complication. I'm not a huge fan of fluted bezels in general but I think overall it works just fine.

One of the reasons I'm looking forward to the SkyD is the fluted bezel. Love the way it plays with light.

Do you think the fluted bezel also looks out of place on the DJ41?

Even though the watch is real, the dial makes the watch look fake. This is why I went with the brother to the Sky-Dweller, which is the YM2 YG 116688. I am not going to go around telling everyone my watch is real and keep the Rolex card in my wallet either. I do care if others think my watch is fake, because having a fake watch is calling me fake. Maybe as it gets older it looks better.

X2! The bezel serves a purpose in the functionality of the watch, so it has to be turned with your fingers.

As said it has a function plus as it is an AC and that lends to making a watch more dressy so if anything it should thus also have a president bracelet, but I like the mix of both and would have this combo on a DJ as well.

I don't think this at all and would be very surprised if anyone else really did. What is the reasoning for it being called a fake?

As for the DJ I think the domed bezel looks better on the oyster and the fluted looks better on the jubilee

Both look pretty good though. Of course the DJ has never been considered a tool or sport watch
