Thank you all, it takes some time just to look at these two I am constantly looking what time is it and looking again, because at the first look i forgot to check what time it is

I have had long term relationship with the dealer. I have not bought Rolexes before 2017. But i have been active acquiring women’s jewellery from him. Rolex hobby has been this year’s highlight

That's cool. Did you go in looking for the Day Date, the Daytona, or both?
Did the dealer stash away the Daytona for VIP clients like you?

My dealer knows the fine lines exceptionally well. So he let’s me choose, tells about the waiting times, terms and supports my choices with loads of information. He knows how to create trust and does not need tricks with me. We have long history.

So you actually were on a waiting list and waited for the Daytona? How long was the wait, I am curious.

Is the Daytona taking all the wrist time away from the DD?

These are business matters

It is really hard to take DD40 off, it feels so good Daytona might have to wait it’s turn for a while.

I was wondering the same right now. I tried to buy platona from my dealer on the condition they give me the panda Daytona C and they said no

Spent all my day looking at these two!

And Day-Date 40 changed Day and Date 1min over midnight. That was i nice dance :D

I have got used to my ExpII date change of 15 seconds after midnight, but DD40 did fine. It had to work with day and date after all and it was the first night, my DD40 ain’t that experienced yet ;)

I don't that was exactly the case with OP, but has given a lot of business to the dealer and I am sure buying this DD helped shorten the wait time by a lot.
