That's the one I voted for with my wallet.

Reasons for me vs 58

Size: I like the 41mm & case thickness is fine
Bezel: I don't like the gold numbers on the 58 bezel
Bracelet: Not a fan of the rivets
Dial: Love the rose/smile
Mvmt: Eta easy to service in future - no preference here for me honestly

Same...

The 58 now serves a purpose for me. Low key, attractive and very little compromise.

IMO, it is a unicorn given the fact that it is a luxury automatic modern sports diver <40mm.

I love my Tudor GMT but I only tend to wear it when I'm travelling for time telling, wear my Omega Seamaster as my daily, if the GMT had been same size as 58 I'd probably wear it as a daily.

I love the looks of it.

Nice when a brand offers size & color options. Something for everyone.

Great photo, thanks for posting. For some strange reason I always find myself trying to talk myself out of the 58 despite its proportions and aesthetic fitting "me" very well. You're correct about it being a unicorn - there's simply not many like it out there you can purchase brand new.

I agree that if Tudor had released a smaller, or even just a thinner, GMT it would be at the very top of my list. The two things that make the regular Black Bays and the GMT non-starters for me are the relatively long lug to lug and the thickness of the case + the spring bar placement. I just don't love the way the BBs & the GMT look on straps. The 58's case solves that issue - it looks amazing on straps.

Probably people who want 5 digits back, aren't impressed with the fat shiny stuff and who're left scratching their heads at the modern practice of spending tens of thousands on stuff they don't want to be granted a spot 'on the list' to get a shot at buying a new fat shiny sucker. Like myself.

I had two Tudors and then realised why have them as a daily when a basic sub is easy to get. It ticks all the boxes.

The 58 is great, but when I thought about it, instead of having two daily beater Tudors, I'll just get a sub.

The 6 digits are actually pretty impressive, and the quality delta from 5 digits are new level. The 904 is great. The lugs don't bother me at all.

I want one so bad that I’d consider trading my new white 114300.

Tudor 58: Why so much love?

Haven’t seen one in person; looking at pictures seems to be a great watch to own. Only thing makes me hesitate is the gold ascents; same model with black dial / black bezel or perhaps with a black dial and blue or red bezel inserts would be a killer watch!

Or spend half the money and have a watch that you potentially like more because it has a 5 digit vintage feel.

I did, and thoroughly enjoyed the 58 for nearly a year. The bracelet is actually better than the 79200 in terms of solidity.

But at the end of the day I preferred the sub. Pointless in having both in my opinion.

This! I have the Black Bay Blue now, ant the only thing that annoys me is the thickness. If the BB58 is slimmer than that is a good argument for switching.

It is stunning in person and so easy to wear. I am also not paranoid about wearing it anywhere, since it flies under the radar (only WIS really know what Tudor is) and I’ve got less money sunk into it than I would even a 5-digit sub. So I can wear it as my daily and not freak out if it gets scratched here and there.

Really want to see one in the flesh tried on the Black bay, nice however a bit to chunky for my girly little wrists.

I love the look of the gmt, but it will be just to large for me sadly.

As said above I think it would be a great daily watch on a nato.

In short..

Better proportions for most wrist sizes combined with vintage styling and VALUE!
