Incoming. Third Time's a Charm.
Big surprise for me. Had a beer this wednesday with a friend and bought back my PO 2208.50. Called my watchmaker right away and the watch was serviced yesterday. Glad to have it back. Hope you like it

Nice, Flavio! The early generation Planet Oceans are the best in my opinion.

Thanks buddy. Old family member came back. It's the one on the right in this old pic. I have my eyes on the Speedy 3570.50 I sold to another friend. Made an offer this week but he likes the watch a lot so I'll have to wait.

Big congrats. I’ve decided the 2201.50 2500D is likely my next watch and the hunt has begun in earnest.

Beautiful watch. It's the one watch I really regret selling, I'm trying to track down an all black with a 2500d movement. It will be keeper this time.

I'm very happy to have this watch back and it hasn't left my wrist so far. We all know how it works. It's the usual honeymoon phase but in my case it's pure nostalgia. I have many pics wearing this watch a decade ago so I'm reviving everything we've been through. From the family pic above, other than this 2208.50, the only one I can get back is the Speedy 3570.50 and I'm working on it. Getting a brand new one is an option too of course but it would be nicer to have back the one I owned. Let's see what happens. Thanks for your post buddy. |

Hearing your experience reminds me of mine. I deployed over seas and did so much with that watch. I've had many Rolex watches since then and a few Omegas. That is the only one I want back. |

I'm sure you'll find one buddy. If you can't find the one you sold you could get one in great condition-complete set and send to Omega service center insted of your usual watch guy. It would return brand new. I'm thinking about that option as well if I decide to get back one of the old Seamasters. Happy hunting my friend.

True. There used to be a plethora of options but nowadays you're lucky if you find one in outstanding condition. Last november I found a 2531.80 recently serviced at Austin Kaye in London and I was travelling in a few months but when I finally decided and made contact with them the watch was gone. Anyway, the Speedmaster is ahead on my list right now and despite that gigantic box I can have one brand new if I decide to have it back. I'll probably take care of that first. |
