AP Code's availability

Hi,
I just want to ask if anyone knows how availability of code's looks like in boutiques? You can see a lot of gold code's under the retail in internet and SS code's are a little up over retail but close? Dose it mean that they are available for purchase in boutiques with out the wait? Is the first time buyer have any chance to buy one in AP boutique?

SS are still allocated in very small numbers.

It’s easier to get allocated a gold piece that’s less desirable.

At least this has been the case in Asia / Middle East.

Yes codes are generally easier to get than any other line, especially for the gold pieces. It’s possible they offer you a code 11 right away, but more than likely you would probably have to wait for the “call.” But it would likely be days to weeks at best. Maybe a few months at worst, not like 6 months or anything that long. Depends on the watch, of course.

QP is impossible to get without approval from corporate, even though they trade for about 30-40% below retail price. Great piece though, and I think it’s possible to get it as a first piece with lots of waiting.

Steel codes are generally harder to get, but def possible to get as a first piece. Lots of demand for it, but shouldn’t be more than a few months wait of I had to guess

Starwheel is impossible to get unless you already have a code 11 before it. Harder to get than a jumbo (as I was personally told)

Was given the choice to purchase a SS Green Code my last visit recently. Did not purchase.

Not sure about the StarWheel. My buddy got as his first (and only) Code. Definitely not harder or as in demand as the Jumbo.

I'm vacationing in Italy and was in the AP Boutique in Florence today (the smallest AP Boutique in the world, they told me). They have a white gold/ceramic and a white gold/rose gold in stock. The only two watches in the Boutique. If you'd be taking one out of the EU, according to the Boutique, the tax refund is 17%, making them a great buy.
