Incoming 1680: Just serviced by Rolex...

I made some Rolex collecting changes this week:
(i) Picked up a white sub that looks BNIB as an everyday wearer.
(ii) Put all my remaining Rolex watches in the bank vault- box.

The 1680 has new Rolex parts, hands, dial, bezel, dial, crown/stem-- Full service, polishing and cleaning. This watch came with boxes, more paperwork than I have for all of my other watches. I've met my goal this year, enjoying this as much as I thought I would.

I like the lighter feel on my wrist, and can't believe I am wearing a 1970's watch looks brand new...

Thanks, I've posted so much about wanting a 1680 white sub. I can't believe I have a new one on my wrist as I type... I am starting to understand why the 1680 is valued higher than the 16800 cousins...

I prefer keeping it's original dial and hands which could retain it's original taste :)

Oh I definitely understand that most want an all original vintage, but I already have one moldy 1960's submariner, and I just wouldn't spend lots of money on another used looking watch. I just love the service dial, new hands, new crown, polished new looking case.

I've gotten two offers on my 16800 matte dial sub from local watch friends. I don't plan to sell the 16800, as this model is a great long term investment in my opinion...
