Guitars. Obsolete since 1962, when Dick Rowe rejected The Beatles with the words, “Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein.”

I am confused by this entire topic. There are several watch brands with over a billion dollars in yearly sales. That doesn't seem obsolete.

We too went through the gauntlet of LG and others. Love the Speed Queen. Also fills all the way up with water when you need it! Probably should buy an extra to have on hand in case the green crowd goes after them.

They look incredibly solid. I read they have a powerful agitator — is the machine a little rough on clothes?

We’ve had ours for a couple years and no issues damaging clothes. My wife will wash anything she doesn’t know what a dry cleaner looks like.
It’s nice you can actually soak your clothes in water not just spray them with a sprinkler and pray. I also don’t have that awful silicon front loader door seal covered in mildew etc We have no shortage of water here so they can keep that high efficiency crap out in California.

The Speed Queen AWN-432 is fairly rough on clothes, however, the model TR-7 is not and cleans great. My wife should be a consumer tester for washing machines.

We had a Miele, purchased in the early 70's, for many, many years.
I'm not sure they are built to the same quality these days. Bosch, are most definitely, NOT! |

Pop music no longer needs musicians. Singing talent is also becoming obsolete.

Any stick shift car still being made. What’s left? Even the Corvette is automatic.
I still have a leather-bound DayRunner calendar. Towards the end of the year, when I go to the office supply store to get my new refill, I still see a number of refills in different sizes. So, I’m not the only one! |

That was funny but as you know you usually get what you pay for.
TRF is not supported by advertising but by pledge members. You know how to improve things?

Do the eight, advertisers at the bottom of the page, get to display their wares, for free?
