Major changes coming to my collection...need opinions!

Hey Guys,

Ive decided to make some major changes to my collection as I've got some pieces i don't wear enough. Im going to sell 3...and buy 1 taking my collection down to 3...what would you think about the following as my forever collection?

1-Datejust 41 126334 (Stainless/Fluted dark rhodium on a jubilee)

2-Submariner 114060 (No date ceramic)

3-Explorer 39m 214270 (this is the one id be buying....plan to wear it on a gray nato as a everyday under the radar)

4* DW5600 G shock for the real ugly stuff

Id be selling my Tudor GMT, Tudor BB Blue, and my SD43...just not getting along with them. My brother wants the SD43...Tudors will be part of the Explorer deal.

I personally like it. But you're gonna wanna keep that Explorer on the bracelet. 6 digits belong on bracelets.

Thx...

Agree about the bracelets BUT...i like the casual look of the Nato on the Explorer and its easy peasy for desk diving

When i retire in 25 years...its go back on steel LOL

I'd go with those changes as well, among the options in your collection.

I think it's a good time to branch out to other brands as you've got a fair few Rolexes/Tudors that are fairly similar to each other

I like that final lineup, definitely. Not a huge Tudor guy. I’ve got a similar 2 watch “collection” in my 126333 DJ and 116610LN. Would be cool to have the explorer as well just to have another option. But I feel the explorer would cannibalize my Sub wear. I suppose it would be unique enough to me if it was always on nato.

If you are buying it ‘just’ to have a low key option, I don’t think that’s necessary. Unless you live in ritzy land, I don’t think the average person can picture what a Rolex even looks like. I’d bet most of them wouldn’t think something was a Rolex unless it was solid gold.

Retiring in 25 years huh? 10 years ago, I had a forever collection of the Rolex Seadweller, GMT II ceramic and AP Diver. A 5 digit, 6 digit Rolex and one of the big 3. I was happy for a few years until the watch bug bit me. Fast forward to 2020, I now have 10!

Moral of the story - nothing is forever!

That being said, can't argue with your choices. Good luck which ever way you go!

I should have said "until the watch bug bit me again.". Been a watch geek all my life

You could try TT DJ 126333 in the combo you have, the sub and

And either OP 41 coloured dial to make it different or the explorer

Nice setup either way
