New member check in
Hello all, new guy here. Been into watches since I was a kid but have been much more serious about it in recent years (36 now). My high water mark has been a rather abused older Sinn 157 that I quite love.
I'm now beginning my hunt for my first Rolex to finally legitimize my baby watch collection. While my grail is still a 116613LB I decided to set my sights a bit more realistic given where I am in life and find a birth year 16013 instead. It's proving difficult to find the right combo with box/papers but patient I will be.... Been a lurker here for a bit but finally decided to join and speak up. I'm a peasant for sure given what I've seen here but one day hopefully I can step it up. |

Man this hunt is proving difficult as hell: papers with this era Rolex seems to be near impossible and the differing opinions on what serial numbers goes with year of production seems to be specious at best. So frustrating. Day Date Presidents are my second choice for birth year model but my wife's opinion (perhaps correct) is that its too flashy for me and our area to back to the Datejust it is.
