I'm not too sure if they have all been allocated as of today. I only know it is a secretive process and the application was closed a couple of days after the last day of the Grand Exhibition. |

5164A is one of the coolest and most usable patek's. I wish the R version had the dial of the 5905...at the current dial I'm not a fan at all.

Both are great but I'd go with the 64.

I own both at the moment and I think if I was to choose one it might be the 5167a at a pinch.
The superior lume is impressive and the light and slim case is the Patek ideal for a sporty watch. It's also easier to read the date. It feels like a casual 5711. That said the 5164a is a more impressive watch on the wrist. It's larger dimensions make it more imposing and the whiter lume makes that symmetrical complicated dial even more stunning. In short the 5164a for looks and of course for travel, the 5167a for everyday use. Hope this helps! |

I got the 67/1A and I'm thinking about getting the 64A as I like the feel on the wrist better. Not sure if I want to deal with another wait list though. Anyone know what the current wait times are for the 5164A?

Would love a 5164a to compliment my 5168g... starting to get nervous about the durability of PM for a daily wearer.

I originally enquired as to the 5167 but when offered the 5164 and trying it on I was happy to pay the extra and have zero regrets!!!

5164 for sure due to the extra detailing on the dial + useful complication. Such a versatile piece to dress up or down and for travel.

Aquanaut is undoubtedly a great watch. But the price is fantastic, way above my limit. I am happy with just a Rolex GMT or Omega Speed Master ; preferably change with rubber straps, the rubber looks sportier, solidly built and ready to go into the dangerous challenging field ; rubber straps makes the watch looks more like the strongest wrist watch the G Shock.

5164A vs 5167A I would go 5164A.. however the 5167R is my favorite aquanaut. The 5168's are great, still waiting for one to be offered to me. The 5968A is a bit to chunky for my tastes, love the orange; however, the one thing I can't get over on the chronograph is the date window is too far in from the edge of the dial... it makes it look off. 5168G makes up for it by a larger lume plot at 3 but the 5968A just looks off to my eye the right edge of the date window is aligned with the numerals and it makes it look cheap for some reason. Also the one thing I will say is in my mind for the longest time the 5164A was the best Patek in the catalog... now having owned the 5164A and the 5164R they are great... however some things... I didn't use the travel complication as much as I thought I would. That is to say when I traveled I don't care what my home time is.. I do use it for work calls occasionally but not really... and often times the date hand is obscured throughout the day and you can't quickly read the date... the day night is useful the other thing I could have done without on the 5164's is the stupid date pusher at 4 o'clock.... I hate case pushers like this... I also wish the finishing on the pushers was like the 5968... some brushing and some polishing not all polished (seems like Patek cut corners here) and lastly.... the action of pushing the pushers on the 5164 doesn't feel as satisfying as a column wheel chronograph pusher... if anything it's kind of squishy and bad feeling.. no real click I also don't like that it's just another place that can accidentally let moisture in since the pusher aren't screwed down and being on the left side of the case can be bumped by the forearm underwater... I've had a couple 5164A's and the pushers have gotten stiffer but I've had my fair share with scares... I buy watches to wear not baby and I will wear them in fresh water, salt water, and chlorinated water and for that reason I've gone back to the 5167's as my preferred aquanaut. I can quickly change the date when I travel, the date (I find a more useful day to day complication that a second time zone) is far more easier to read and the thinness is unlike any other piece I can find on the market... it disappears even in gold. With that being said here are some pics of the 5164A... haha

Prefer the newer 67’s with the updated white lume (same as on the 64).

Owned this one. Sometimes, when I miss having an aqua, I think of going after a 67 next time around. Really appreciate comfortable watches these days.

love the travel time, case feels a little more solid. the 5167 is so thin that it makes it feel a little more delicate than I care for in a sports watch.

Just because I have the 5168g, I am going with 5164. I love the look and the complication seems really useful.

5164 has the most useful complication for me. Love the 67 though as well.

Just got the 67 as my first Patek in my collection. Love it but hope to upgrade to the 64 in the near future. Plain dial is beautiful, elegant and simple. Can go with shorts and t shirt or work suits, super versatile. Although, i do have a habit of switching up/upgrading often and the 64 has always been a favorite of mine. Has anyone else made the change from the 67 to 64? Wondering if you had any regrets or what the upsides were.
