Ginault Ocean Rover high replica Rolex Submariner?

I am not sure we have talk about Ginault on here before but they caught my attention lately with robust built, design and good quality control per YouTube reviewers. I have own many Rolex from Daytona to SkyDweller to GMT II and SubC and Omega, lately I want something reliable, cheaper (than Rolex), able to handle daily activities and in case I shatter the crystal or damage it while diving under the propeller to untangle fishing lines and nets or lose it, I won’t get mad at myself. While most of my other watches are wear in rotation and this could be an addition to the rotation itself. Is it too much of a wannabe Rolex? Or does it scream I can’t affors Rolex but want to look cool? Or you just don’t care and enjoy your watch? Anyone have bought the watch are welcome to input your opinions regarding quality and materials. All opinions are welcome.

The answer is always Seiko. The new SBDC061 and 063 are about the best you can get this side of a SD300 or PO

I wasnt impressed in the one I handled. If I wanted a sub look but a cheaper watch that can take some abuse I’d buy a Steinhart which is less then half the price of the Ginault

I've never handled 1 but from pics it doesn't scream that it should cost as much as it does compared to a Squale or Steinhart if 1 wanted the Sub look. For that price, a Monta seems to offer a better value, more unique look and a really quality bracelet.

I agree Steinhart is more of an established brand but at 42mm diver, it too big for my 6.5” wrist. I try to get something less than 40mm as diver watch.

I’ll check, thank you for the info
Update: I just check with Steinhart website and they have some amazing diver pieces. Thinking about picking up Ocean One GMT which is perfect for boating and fishing days.

Ginault Ocean Rover high replica Rolex Submariner?

I can highly recommend the ocean rover.. robust good quality, in many ways hard to distinguish from Rolex, for instance the glide lock is as good as it gets and not really any different from my Rolex Sub. I have it little over a year now and use it as my daily beater (farm work etc). Although not as cheap as a Steinhart not really a comparison either IMO..

It is a replica watch from a replica company. Why would you give them your money? Not to mention they use a replica eta movement in it.

Use your money to buy from a company who doesn't make replica's. Want a great everyday better that uses a Sub style case? Look at Scurfa watches.

So, I order Steinhart 39mm diver watch with ceramic bezel in black. I will use this watch for diving under my boat to cut wire and fish nets trapped in the propeller. I also use it for fishing and boating with little concern or worries.
As daily watch, I have a few Rolex watches to enjoy. The Steinhart is not my wannabe Rolex but it is my extreme sport watch where I could easily lose it with much pain to my pocket.
I will post pix when it arrive.

I've owned a Ginault (Smurf lume) for the past 2 years. Contrary to what others have said here I believe its the best Rolex Homage currently available. Hands above Sterinhart, Squale etc. Perfect dimensions, quality build (domed sapphire, great brushing on case, enamel dial, longlasting lume, glidelock bracelet although I wear mine on leather straps) and last but not least, time keeping accuracy that puts the likes of JLC and Rolex to shame. I get +0.5s/d if the watch is worn daily.
I will always have one in my collection and its my proudly worn 'beater'

I would get a Seiko SKX for what you're describing.

Exactly!

That is the reason to buy them, to wear them.

My watch arrived yesterday, I am very surprise with fit and finish and quality of this watch. For $400 bucks I believe it is the BEST in this market segment, also ETA 2824-2 is robust and could out-last my time on earth and more. I am very proud rocking this watch and frankly those who don’t know me but judging me from the things I have/own are not worthy of my time anyway. I don’t intend to wear it as poser but because I love of this wonderful hobby.

24 hours accuracy tested at +1.8 seconds. This is right out of the box, very impressive watch so far.
