My dads old Bulova...

I was going through some old boxes and came across my dads old Bulova. He’s 78 and currently wears a Timex Indiglo. My mom gave him the Bulova I believe in 1979 when they were dating...he wore it forever...I’m not sure why he switched. Man he worked hard over the years wearing the Bulova. He had a couple of Caravelle quartz watches over the years...but he alway wore this Bulova. It originally came on a black leather strap but that broke in the earlier 80’s and it’s been on a Spiedel metal one ever since. I think I’m going to send it off to Rik for a cleaning and a new black leather strap. I’ll give it to my mom to give back to my dad...can’t wait to do that!! I wound it up and it’s been keeping perfect time for 6 hours so far...

That’s a cool looking watch. Can’t wait to see it when it comes back from the spa.

Very nice. I collected Caravelles for a while. Some of the early mechanical ones (60s to 70s) were great.

Nice watch; I like the tonneau style case as well!!! I have my fathers Bulova as well in solid gold on leather from the early '60s. It gets little wear unfortunately. He passed 35 years ago so it's a nice keepsake to remind me of him.

Very cool. Always nice to see a family piece continuing to be enjoyed. Can't wait to see it freshened up. Just cleaning, or will it be getting polished/refinished as well?
