Someone gifted me an Apple watch a few months ago, but it's still boxed somewhere in my office. I haven't even ripped off the plastic film. I don't see the appeal, I guess, of wearing a phone on my wrist.

I have a GPS watch that I use when running or cycling outdoors. I don't wear anything in the gym.

For everything else, there is always a Rolex, or something similar ;)

I'm with the timepiece purists. When I free myself from my professional activities, I turn the stressors associated with a tech device the hell off.

My watch tracks the only thing we're not getting any more of, ...time. It keeps me punctual to important events and shows me how long I enjoyed them. And I sure don't want to be regretting one day not having been fully "there" with my family when I was physically with them.

If I worked at Apple, or if I had a job like the White House Chief of Staff I would want something like an Apple Watch, but then again that type of position doesn't have a life; you're barely allowed to sleep.

If I hadn't started a family yet and felt the need to wear an Apple Watch, I might as well go ahead and get a cat...

Both have their utility. For my parents, heart monitoring, fall protection, and SOS are paramount. I use mine for fitness. Rolex for the rest.

I use my Apple Watch for gym use only. It stores my ID card to enter the gym, stores all my workout music and I bring in my Bluetooth air pods, and use the workout tracker, so not worrying about carrying my iPhone into the gym. Then my Rolex and other fine watches for the week. I work in a tech company and wore my Apple Watch the first year when they first came out but now wear my finer watches daily.

I purchased the apple watch 2 when it came out and it's been on the charger since the 2nd week in. Can't imagine you'd get much of a pro-apple watch response in a Rolex forum.

Anyone else here wear Apple Watch instead of their Rolex?

Don’t have one. Don’t think I ever will have one...

Ironically, I’m a technology executive. I manage a large software development organization. I started my career as a programmer.

However, I prefer mechanical watches over smart watches

I wear a Rolex SubC to work every day. My wife has an Apple Watch. It’s pretty cool, but I’ll stick to mechanical watches.

I’d wear the Bluesy if I were you.

I am not interested in a smart watch. I was given one and I returned it. I do not want another device that I have to charge, update, sync, deal with its bugs. I also do not want another screen to deal with. I feel as if I am on screen overload already, I am happy with one less one.

I should add that I do wear a quartz watch as my daily wearer though.

I wear an Apple Watch on my non-real-watch wrist. And only when I'm "onduty."

Otherwise I don't wear it.

It's not a "watch" to me. It's an extension of my cell phone, which nowadays is an extension of my computer.
