Not a good idea to put an enamel on the crown...a raised logo ala Rolex and others makes more sense.

The THC was released in 2010 so that's about as vintage as you're gonna get. Had mine since 2011, it's run a very consistent +4 sec per day, is not pampered by any stretch, and continues to perform flawlessly.

I guess what I meant is a 70's ish Monte Carlo 7169. I have been going back and forth, but the prices are obviously a little more attractive on the new models. Both beautiful pieces and I love them all.

unfortunate adam.

but expected with the news on other owners experiencing similar enamel issues.

i suspect the cyclops concern is unrelated to a crown defect but it depends on the local rsc mood.

good luck

That just sucks Adam. I hope Rolex makes this right without hassling you about the cyclops. I will be interested to hear what they say.

Great idea to add the cyclops, I tried the THC the other day and couldn't read the date very well. My vision is pretty good too! Sorry to hear about the other issue.

The Rolex/Tudor service centre is by far the best among all the service centers I've come across in Hong Kong. I am sure they'll fix it without any fuss.

Adam, I know Russell Kelly personally. Though you live in HK let me know (via PM) if you need my help and I can lend a hand in getting this resolved for you quickly.

Sorry to hear about this issue Adam. If they had used ceramic instead (like the AP ROO), maybe it would not have lead to this issue? Then again, the price will be... o well.

I was also considering Tudors. But the size (40mm is my max for now) and now issues, is keeping me away..

Hope it gets resolved to the best of your interest mate.
