Explorer 1 214270 Link Screws ??
Greetings, I have a bit of a dilemma. I purchased the Explorer used and it’s in excellent shape however I needed a link adjustment for sizing. I took it to a local jewelry store and upon receiving it back I simply tried it on and it fits very well however the link screw heads are a little rough and 2 of them are not flush 100%. I’ve read that each link screw is a different size depending on the link position etc: I obviously am not happy, the oyster bracelet fits great but the toughness of the screw heads and them not being perfectly flush bothers me. On the other parts of the bracelet when I run my finger over them they are very smooth. Should I call Dallas RSC and send it off? If so what’s a general idea of the cost? Or am I better off going to a local AD? The “link screw is sized for each individual link” thing is throwing me for a loop. Thanks for your time and advice on this matter.

I would think your local AD should be able to source the correct replacement screws and fit them for you.
