16238 would look great on ostrich , or tan leather or croc , but tt ,,, nope , well , worth a try on a brown leather ,, but gold rocks.

Indeed! Overall, the bracelet is quite flashy. I decided to change things up a little bit and give a different look.

The older ones yes ... YG on black and TT on brown and SS on black.

The new models look better on bracelet IMO.

A Datejust on leather is great PROVIDED the gap is removed using a curved end leather strap or a filler end lug peice, like Rolex OEM and Etur or SmartyJones offers.

Excellent point there. I tried it on and it seems that the TT is a little off with the croc strap. Trying to get used it.

Older two tones look good on brown leather, IMO. Not a DJ, but here's my 5501.

Thumbs up for me but I would add some custom endlinks to give it a more refined look.

When I see someone wearing a Rolex on a strap, I assume it is only a temporary situation until they can afford a bracelet.

I think it looks great! All high end pieces from PP and brands a like are on nice leather straps. Of Course the President bracelet or Jubilee are beautiful but a nice leather strap could be as nice. I am using my fathers Day-Date on an Ostrich dark brown and I am loving it.
