Correct jubilee for a 1016
Hi everyone,
I am looking for the correct jubilee bracelet for the 1016 from '67/68. I understand some 1016 were delivered on a 6251H as an option. I understand a standard 6251H/62510H fits 1.8mm spring bars, whereas 62510H with "50" last link fits 2.0mm spring bars which is "correct" for Rolex sports models. I have read that the standard jubilee may cause damage to the lug holes of the watch, so my question is did the 6251H ever come with "50" last link? I can source a 62510H with "50" last link, but it would not be period correct. Also which end links would be correct for the watch? Thanks for your help |

Yes, a Swiss 6251 Jubilee came with 50 end links which would be correct for your watch. These end links utilize the 2mm spring bars.
The later 1016s from the late 1970s until the end of production could have come with a 62510 Jubilee with the 50 stamped last link on each side and the 550 end links. This bracelet/end link combination also utilizes 2mm spring bars.

From what you mention, a Swiss 6251 with 50 end links would be correct for my 1016. Does this mean the 6251 does not have “50” stamped on the last link, rather the end links should be stamped 50? |

Care to share some pictures of the watch including its movement?
