Seiko sla021
So I recently purchased a brand new SLA021 that literally took a month to acquire. A real PITA with US Customs. Took me 2-weeks plus to get clearance. Anyway, while waiting for this absolutely stunning watch I bought a bunch of other watches. Now that I have received it, should I keep it or sell it? I’m dying to size it, and keep it!! But am I being greedy?
What do you guys think I should do? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hahahaha she’s a damned sweet watch. Usually I don’t get attached but I love this watch. Absolutely love my GS. Favorite daily no doubt. I truly believe Seiko and Rolex are truly the only two best watch enterprises out there. Period.

The SLA021 is a great watch and I have owned it several times and the SLA019. On the bracelet they are a brick on the wrist, I mean that in a good way. In the Seiko world there are a lot of options and choices. I picked up the new LX Sea Black and there was not a lot of room for my SLA021 with all of the other watches. The LX has the same case but the model I bought comes on the rubber strap and is more wearable in my opinion. Unless you are in love with the SLA021 and it is going to get some serious wrist time I would look elsewhere in the Grand Seiko/Seiko lineup.

Thanks, William. I have a GS and it gets a lot of wrist time since I wear it to work. It’s such a great watch and nicer than a DJ 41 smooth IMHO. Agree about wrist time with the SLA but at the same time it’s work as a semi-daily as well. Or like you said swap it for another GS. By the way, how in the world do you size the bracelet? I’ve never sized this type of bracelet and have some tools. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My AD sizes the bracelets for me. I have looked at the videos on line but decided it is better to have the AD do it.

Yeah I agree. I usually size all my bracelets but this one baffles me. Watched the videos as well and rather not experiment with inexperience. If I decide to keep this beautiful beast I’ll go to Japantown, there’s a SEIKO AD there and they have divers.

I’m thinking of flipping it for a GS or just DJ with some OOP $. Absolutely love this watch but not yet sure it’s what I want to keep.

Haha you guys. :)
It’s surprisingly comfortable which is a marvel on its own considering how incredibly robust this watch is. The bracelet is also extremely well made — clasp is very 5 digit which is delightful. The dial is wow... it’s definitely a monster that wears smaller than 44mm.
