Need Help Pricing Out my 1675 GMT
Hello All.
About a year ago I had questions about the originality of my dial and bezel. I have now decided to sell my watch. I'd like to know what you all think it's worth. I have stopped wearing the watch four years ago, and I haven't had it serviced in about eight or nine years. The watch keeps excellent time. I have taken some very unflattering pics of the watch to show ALL scratches and flaws. The Crystal is pretty scratched but can be buffed out. The hands should be repaired or replaced due to lume cracking. The jury is out on whether the dial is original. You can read my original thread by searching for "1966 GMT - Questions about the Dial and Bezel" posted on April 7, 2009. Some people think it's a 1966 but others think it's 67 or possibly 68. Serial #1980xxx. It looks like most people service their watches before listing them for sale, but I'm going to take the "Antiques Road Show" approach and leave it alone and let the buyer have their expert service it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. It was my dream watch at the time, but for personal reasons, it's lost its sentimental value. Thank you! -Skipp |

Skipp2, you only have 2 post, and they are on this thread. I looked but don't see it in your history.
How could you post in April 2009, when your a new member this month. Is there another name you were using at the time? I'm looking for the old link... |

Here are the pics. Blaine, I thought about that but if I remove the case, wouldn't I have to replace the gasket? Also, thought an interested buyer wouldn't want me monkeying around with the watch. Again, I could be wrong and if it helps determine the value of the watch, I'll do it. Paul, I used to be Skipp and my post was on April 5th (not 7th) in the watchout forum titled, "1966 GMT - Questions About the Dial and Bezel". I forgot my password and I've tried to retrieve it multiple times with no luck; I just decided to create a new account. Here's the original link: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...ons+about+dial
