Little Pa.Watch Co. With a BIG PUNCH

Hey Guys:
Check this little company out. I saw them first at a regional NAWCC show this past summer:

http://www.rgmwatches.com/rgmchr.html

RGM Watch Company right around the corner from me. They have 'specials' at NAWCC shows.

The guy at the watch show told me they made their own movements, but that's not what's said at their website; looks like my grey market dealer friend(damn he's always right) was correct again...they can build you a watch from scratch, but their 'ordinary' watches use swiss movements......
best,
dan
p.s. if you're in Mt. Joy I'll join you for a drink at Bube's Brewery, which has a huge underground 'grotto' type dining area; pretty cool and evening entertainent...they also have a Victorian dining area next door. Tours of the now defunct brewery from the 1800's are always availalbe.

Some very cool watches. Thanks a lot for the link. Any idea what the grand complications are going for?

I love the Professional Diver. That is a solid looking watch.

I've been kind of drooling over this one for some years now...

RGM is also the authorized service center for Sinn watches here in the USA. They offer some unique exotic stuff too like their minute repeater. I like the idea of supporting an American watchmaker.

Dick: no idea, but they wanted to sell me a beautiful watch at the NAWCC show in York for about $1700.00 that sells at their showroom for about $2500.00 show special. i was so absorbed in selling a sub date(which i sorely miss), i passed on the deal at the advice of my grey marketeer.....no idea what the grand complications go for.....expensive i'm certain. i wonder if they do use their own movement at some level of expenditure for the watch? i am certain the guy at the show told me they were using their own movements, maybe my own confusion. in any event , they're very nice watches. one of these spring days, when i have a few minutes of spare time(hah!), i'll ride over there, ask all the questions i and you have, and report back.
best, dan

Dan: Thanks a lot. I might give 'em a call myself. If I do, I'll let you know what I find out. But thanks again for the link - I'm always interested in a watch that no one else is wearing.

Sring In So. Central Pa.?

well, if you guys decide to come to So. Central Pa. we'll try and arrange a tour of their factory, a tour of the Nat'l Watch and Clock Museum(and library), and I wonder if we can get a glance at the Rolex School hidden somewhere near or in Lititz....hmmm
best, dan
