I think the timing bezel is pretty handy, and every year I appreciate the cyclops just a little bit more (unfortunately).

My vote is definitely GMT. The quick set hand and GMT hand are awesome. I rarely use the rotating bezel but I use the other functions regularly.

I could very well survive with time only - usually know the day & date without the watch...
Of the other functions, my favourite is the annual calendar. I just enjoy watching that red dot move on the last day of the month - but no real need for that. Date & GMT are useful on rare occasions, my travels are usually within +/- one time zone so common sense is usually sufficient, as long as I know where I am For the other functions I have no use.

GMT because I've been traveling a lot in the past few years and I've moved to full-time work remotely. I need to know the time for HQ and locally. That's why I've been lusting over a polar EXII 16570 lately...

Sub date. Especially with the modern glide lock. Absolutely best clasp in the watch game.

As I have aged this answer has changed. I am now a time only, date preferably easy to read as possible guy.

Agree with this 100%. Constantly use my GMT for work (if not when traveling, just to have UK time readily available on my wrist) but like to mix things up with the DaytonaC when I can. The latter is usually on my wrist all weekend.

I like the ROLEX made of the Future Metal named Invisium…
The nice thing about it is that it is the Total Stealth Wealth.

Day-Date, either size, and second place is not close.
Well, Platona is close, but I don’t feel that way about other Daytonas in general. The dial makes or breaks it for me. |
