Decision has been made!

Having been Rolex-less in October, I purchased a Polar Exp II in November with intentions of wearing it to my upcoming wedding (this Saturday!) and then being gifted with a Black Submariner Date in December by my soon to be wife as a surprise while shopping for wedding rings (she's awesome!), I was faced with an extremely difficult decision...which watch do I wear to the wedding!?

The decision has been made, after much deliberation on my end...

The Polar Exp II will accompany me on my wedding day!

Plus 1. Also, the sub pairs better with a tux.

You made the right call. Explorer II looks killer with a suit or tux. Plus set the tone on day 1! Kidding on that last part, but that's a great duo you have there.

Decision has been made!

Wear the Sub on your wedding. Exp II Polar on your honeymoon. Solved!

IMO, You have to wear the watch your wife bought you on your wedding day. You’ll regret it if you wear any other watch.

You’re going to have wedding pics all around your house for the rest of your life. I highly recommend that the wife bought sub is in these pics.

‘And you didn’t even wear the watch I bought you for our wedding!’ at least once a month, forever...

As much as I love the Explorer II, I'd have to agree with others that Sub on the special day would be awesome... However, it's your choice!

Congratulations on your big day!

Wear the Sub she bought you. It was a tremendous expression of her love for you.
Her engagement ring to you. I hate it for you but you are suppose to wear that Sub every day for the rest of your life. Get rid of the Explorer, leave this forum, you will be missed...
Oh and have a great wedding and may you live happily ever after.

Warning warning warning. This is a test. You will never hear the end of it if you don’t wear that sub. Just ammunition for the first fight.

Wear the sub that she gave you to your wedding. Hope you have not told her this was even being pondered on your side... May God bless you and your future wife.

BiG NO, NO. HUGE WARNING. This is a no brainer. Wear what your wife bought you, the SUB. There’s going to be MANY more decisions your going to have to make. When that time comes. Remember, “ Happy Wife, Happy Life,” and always say “ Yes,” and you should be fine. Almost forgot, congratulations.

Boy, that escalated quickly!
I agree with what most have replied here: it’s a wedding, make your soon to-be wife happy. It would almost be as if she didn’t wear your engagement ring, but another ring she had bought and found “prettier”.

I wouldn’t wear a white watch regardless of who bought it with a tux or suit. Wear the sub for sure! It will look classic in 30 years when you see photos.

The Polar Exp II will accompany me on my wedding day!

Ur still having a wedding during social distancing?

Also. I purchased a 126710BLRO to commemorate my wedding last July for my wedding in September.

The day of my wedding my wife gifted me an Art Deco Tudor / Rolex dial watch she found on eBay. I immediately noticed it was a redial, movement was correct but it was a bit of a frankenwatch (she has limited knowledge bless her heart). Regardless of the fact that I obviously loved the BLRO more as a watch itself. The sentiment meant more to me and without a question in my mind I wore the vintage gift at the alter.

After the photos and ceremony I threw the BLRO on to party

Maybe do the same, wear the sub for the ceremony (part that counts) and the photos. When dj comes out and the tie comes undone throw your explorer II on so it can still be part of your day

It was a little easier in my case since she agreed with the fact that I shouldn’t be banging a watch from 1946 around while 20 whiskey sodas deep.

Cheers

Sub will look better in a tux. Plus its got the 007 vibe to it as well.
