Question on GmtII bezel

I got a question on the old GMTII. Do you all encounter higher resistance when turning the bezel clockwise than anticlockwise? Mine has a higher resistance in clockwise is this normal?

Yes, you're going against the rotation of the earth. It's bound to be more difficult.

I have one that has slightly more resistance. I think it's just the way the friction ring sits.

Mine seems to be the same in either direction, but I've only had it a month. I've read where dirt can accumulate under the bezels and render them harder to move over time.

Since we are discussing on GMT II bezels, I was wondering whether there are any reliable websites from where I could purchase original brand new bezels (in order to have all three variations) or I should contact my local AD. I would like if possible to avoid the last option since the local AD is quite expensive rather than other ADs in other countries but if I have no other option, then I would purchase from him

I noticed the same thing on a BNIB GMT II 16710 I tried on at an AD about a year ago.

Your local AD is probably your best option. That way you know you're getting the real deal. In the USA we can't even do that! With after market sources it's hard to insure you recieve the correct and authentic insert.
Good luck,

STIFF, the bezel on 16570 has never turned. Must be a fake.
