I prepaid for a BLNR a few weeks ago at my local AD, got the call this morning so the order got fulfilled in less than a month. They also had a 116110LN and 114060 for anyone interested in the Central Valley(they don't ship).

The BLNR shouldn't be that hard for you to get.

I went back yesterday to my AD just to say hi and remind them that I’m serious.

I also asked if they would call me when one came in so I could try one on. They said they’d let me know but wouldn’t guarantee me anything. I kept chatting and low and behold, someone had one I could try on.

It only confirmed what I already knew. Can’t wait to get one.

I’m going to try my hardest and stick it out with a purchase from an AD rather than a reseller.

I ordered mine a month and 3 weeks ago, finally got it yesterday. Im not in the US, but in my country, all Rolex ADs are owned by the same company, so its 1 big waiting list, in theory i should be waiting for around 1 year, but since i have very good connection with the company, they managed to stick me up the list and got mine much earlier than i should.

Smaller ADs- visit even if the BLNR is not in stock, express interest, become known as a serious future customer.

I'd like to buy it from an AD so I can establish a relationship.

Any tips on how to not wait years for this?

I just picked one up Yesterday from my AD. He told me it’s the second one he has gotten this year. He also gave me a great set of baseball tickets (Box seat!)to go with it very cool guy. I feel very fortunate to have the AD I use when I hear of some people’s experiences on here.

Best advice I can give you as far as building a relationship is to simply be open, and honest with your A.D. I believe it helps If they see you as someone who really appreciates their help and the item you’re looking for.

I bought mine BLNR last year from Shreve, the wait was exactly 24.... hours...
I was told it would take around 3 weeks, then the next day I got a call saying that it was there. Maybe now the demand for this watch is much higher.

Also, as you might have known about it, Shreve does ship to any out of state address for free to save tax.
