opinons...2 for 1.... DAY DATE
ok guys im having a dilemma ive got my Daytona 116523 diamond dial and my SD4000 which i dont wear very much
I love my SD but they Daytona not so much My local gray dealer wants my SD bad as he knows he can turn a profit on it lol! He also knows ive got a thing for DD40/41's and has now offered me a brand new DD40 for my 2 watches and id have to top him@$4500USD on top He tried same deal on my Patek but im not parting with it .... yet lol! Wht do we think of this as a deal? Im not emotionally tied to either one of these watches(i do like my SD4000 but im not gonna die without it) and figured if i miss having a daily beater ill steal my Hulk back off my brother or just but a Sub LN thoughts????

Sell the Patek and buy used at a 50% discount. Keep the sub and chronograph. Problem solved.

price wise seems about right. You need to decide if to let go the sd4k.

The inability to fine tune a watches fit on the fly, for me, is now a non starter. Hence my dd40 is gone. Choose wisely.

Other than negotiating the price on top, sounds like a perfect trade for you. Watches you don’t really wear for one you would love and always wear.

Sounds like you're not really attached to the 2 in question so why not.

Remember, there are big discounts to be had when buying a DD40.

I like the DD and if you do not have strong feelings on the other two watches, why not.

With the LV in reserve or perhaps a new difficult to get LN I'd consider it. Are there others that you've got as well? I personally love my 4K.

What are the numbers for the watches involved? Roughly. I saw the $4500 extra cash on top, but there's wiggle room on a new DD isn't there?
You have plenty of other watches, and 2 that you don't wear for 1 that you're expecting to love is a good collection move imho |

Doesn't seem like a terrible deal if that's what you want. I'd try to knock down the cash on top, but might as well go for it otherwise.

I'd go for the DD40, as long as you're sure you won't be tempted to buy those two back...especially the SD.

I dont wear the 116523 at all so no love loss there..... I think ill be happy with the trade but my biggest problem is choosing a dial..... he'll get whatever one i want but i just cant choose lol

I’d hang on to the SDc. Tough to let this future icon go, IMHO.

i know what you are saying and i do like my SD but i dont buy my watches for holding onto to sell for a profit.... i get them because i like them....
Maybe ill just trade the Daytona and see what cash price difference he can come up with and negotiate from there
