Crystal Chip DS43
Well, who knew a cheap 90's, gold colored door knob could do such damage?
Pretty sure I will let this ride until I get it serviced, several years from now. |

It happens. Hopefully you can look past it but if not, fix it.

How long ago did you get the watch? Did you use a credit card to buy it? One that may protect your purchases from accidental damages within a certain timeframe.

Owie. Careful. Looks like a fracture in the sapphire too. Chips are cool, cracks are bad. Cracks are whack, maan.

I thought I was going to hear a song by The Doors. Get it replaced otherwise it will just keep bugging you until you do. Sapphire is pretty tough stuff. Not easy to crack. It used to be used as flack shielding under the seats of fighter jets. It can be cleaved on two different planes seen below.

Ouch! Good luck on being able to ignore it long enough to forget about it and then not notice it.

Eh.. Every scratch and ding brings you that much closer to not caring and just wearing.

Had it checked today at my AD. I really like the team there and the horologist (is that the right term?) AKA, the guy who fixes watches. Its a corner chip, not a crack and its actually pretty small. I could have it fixed but for now, I'm cool with it.

I would wait to repair it until ready for service. As time goes by you will notice it less and less.

That would be tough to hang with but it is the right thing. Without a magnifying lenses you’ll be fine. Enjoy your watch

No big deal. I think it would be hard to find a regularly worn Rolex that didn't have at least one small chip in the crystal.

Glad you can let it go, for now. I’ve done that and worse. Put a large dent in the lug of my SD4000, but I let it ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ouch but no big deal, you can have it replaced later.
