Icon20 Ceramic Daytona demand predicted for SS Pepsi

In Bob's Best of Baselworld article they are calling the new SS Pepsi an obvious classic and predicting Ceramic Daytona-like demand for it. (see link below)

Is anyone getting told by their AD when the first SS Pepsi watches will be arriving? Who has put a deposit on this watch?

There is always someone like you that takes any opportunity to anonymously put down someone, I hope you have made yourself feel better. Are we fellow watch lovers, or are we here to take cheap, needless and immature shots at eachother? Your comments are immature and not constructive, please grow up. If you disagree with me or what the Bob's article says, why not just post some facts or reasons, rather than a one line insult that is not backed up by anything?

Actually, it is a post about the SS Pepsi, and Bob's happened to write about the watch which I happened to read. I have nothing to do with Bob's, I have never done business with them. The only thing "obvious" is that you decided to speculate that this was "obviously a post for Bobs".....I am sure their order flow will be surging tomorrow thanks to my post LOL

Easy there champ. I wasn’t putting anyone down. My point was simply that Rolex is a very secretive company and Bob’s Watches does not have any more knowledge of Rolex’s plans than anyone else. So everything they claim is pure speculation. Deep breath my friend.

Your post came across as a very curt general statement that we don't know anything, my apologies if that was not your intent, however, it is not really all about Rolex's plans or supply, it is also about DEMAND, and I think a well known watch company is in a great position to make a prediction about the demand for this watch and its potential to become a classic....especially as they sell so many classic/vintage Rolexes, and for that reason I think they do know something about the new SS Pepsi. Besides, my main focus was to ask others here if they have deposits on the SS Pepsi and when they expect delivery.

well the watch market is in a different place than when the daytona was released as that sort of started this hugely over retail cycle we are in. Then the following year several hot watches were released: skydwellers, OF Daytonas, DJ 41's, and SD 43. Then the year after that there was pretty much one release the Pepsi.

So yes, demand will be higher than for the daytona and premiums will be double retail (at least) for a while. It will be harder to get than a daytona for a while too. Not long term, but for a year or two.

Its the only logical conclusion IMO.

Wow, double retail would be a big premium, throw in a few thousand more dollars and you can get a preowned wg Pepsi!

Expecteing to get mine end of May to first half of June.
Yeah, demand would be great but as far as I konow allocations are quite many in various dealers, so situation is expected to be not as bad as Daytona.

the prices will be close... part of why the WG prices have crept up a bit recently... to maintain a spread. The SS will keep the WG prices high as long as its at a huge premium

Im VIP at my Los Angeles AD

my AD is one of the largest in the world. I was told I can expect to be about the 4th or 5th to have the opportunity to buy one which puts me at about 6-10 months by their estimation based off other models like the Panda Daytona.

Have email some enquiries to Bob's watch about their watches, the guy replied nothing to me just said the price is fixed.

Not so good services at all.

That's not too bad of a wait, I was told they expect some in September.

I think the real question is the level of supply as provided by Rolex

i think supply is going to be significantly below demand which will then actually increase demand above where it would be normally. I think that part is assured.

Im well aware you don't like it, but if you did and in the UK there is pretty close to a zero chance you could get one anyway. Preference aside, the demand is huge

The Daytona actually had style differences - Its bezel was black. Taking style cues from the past. This is just a more affordable PepC, on a bracelet that not everyone likes. I don't doubt it will be popular and hard to get. Daytona madness is more justified in my opinion. The SS pepsi might be over much quicker whilst the Daytona madness will be still in full swing. Jubilee bracelet - A lot don't like it.
