I'm sure a lot of demand will be from people simply trying to get one to resell. This does not have Ceramic Daytona appeal.

The Daytona appeals to a lot more people. There are plenty of people in the mainstream that are not going to appreciate a blue/red bezel watch.

i don't disagree with the wide appeal vs the daytona but in this case i don't think its relevant. In the short term its the only real new flippable Rolex of the year. AD lists closed within 24 hours in a lot of places. This for sure did not happen with the Daytona two years ago. So out of the gate it is hotter for sure and the hot watch market is at an all time high which contributes.

IMO the pepsi is a sprint winner where the daytona will win the marathon. They are competing in different events.

Unless a GMT 6542 or 1675 gets auctioned for $10-$15 million. The demand for the new Pepsi wouldn't be as high as the Daytona. Daytona has become a cult in a way! GMT is just the current trend.
I would actually buy the new BLRO SS GMT only if I can't get the 5 digit pepsi for cheaper!

It would seem odd/stupid for me to pay a $15k for a watch that is homage to a GMT which is avaialble in the market for $7-15k. Why not just buy the original classic version? Yeah the 70hr reserve is great, but not much else. You can still get Jubilee on the previous versions.

im betting right now, the early prices will be way north of that figure. Vintage is fine but it doesnt have the same mainstream appeal outside the WIS community. Personally even for myself i have zero interest in any vintage watch. I wouldn't pay $500 for a vintage GMT maybe some day ill get it, but they have not grown on me at all to this point. I cant get past the "someone else's watch" part.

yep. A 5711 isnt worth 50k either and i own one so its not sour grapes. Nice watch but not for secondary pricing. The pepsi won't be worth what the resellers are offering them for either, but people will buy them.

I’m excited to get both my daytona and Pepsi. Do we know how many Pepsi’s are being produced annually?

It’s only my opinion, “BW” would have zero insight as to what will happen with the new Pepsi.

The majority of folks on this site would ALL AGREE as what will happen with the price when the Pepsi hits the market, it’s no SECRET.

The post only states the !!obvious!!

A) how hot the Pepsi will be

B) “BW”

The link to the site shouldn’t be allowed period.. we could in fact create a long long list of second hand watch dealers we like.. it’s not appropriate unless your a sponsor of this site..

Get it ?!?!

It's all about demand, if supply is restricted like the D500, prices will be at a huge premium, if it's released like a normal Basel, prices will be at just a very large premium.

I heard on the grapevine that Rolex is cutting production to meet demand.
