Pre-ceramic Daytona 116520 Black or White

Hello All

Please could you let me know your comments, between the Daytona 116520 black and white dial, which one is sportier and dressier?

Thank you very much.

I like the Black dial better but both can be dressy/sporty.

Both are lovely. I personally prefer the early thin hand versions.
White dial looks bigger and better with a suit and the black dial looks stunning and more casual.
I have the 3 versions of the 116520's - black, white and the cream (made for 1 year only)

I'd go black especially on a 116520

I owned both at various times, and I simply couldn’t read the black dial well. It is a really great looking watch though.

Either dial color choice is a winner in my book. If I had to nitpick, I would say the white has a slightly dressier look when compared to the black one.

White works great with a suit or sport coat.

Both can be dressy and sporty, It’s just a matter of preference.
I prefer the white one.

That sounds like a personal preference so I cannot help you.

I chose the white dial because I found the black dial to be unreadable.

I had the same problem with a dark dial. Age... the light at the end of the tunnel is a train.

I have the black, so I'm biased. But I think it's classy and dresses up or down really well.

The daytona is not a dress watch imo.

I think the black dial "jumps out" a bit more, so I've always seen that as slightly sportier. White dial is more subtle, so to me it's slightly dressier.

That being said, I absolutely love the Daytona, so (and please please excuse the rather crude analogy) it's like choosing between two identically beautiful women to marry and just deciding what color clothes she looks better in. I think steel Daytona in any dial is absolutely beautiful.

black..goes with everything.

white is just too showy...can't imagine wearing it for too long. I hate watch that sings "hey, look at me".
