Rolex Spotting at a Cycling Race

Been traveling with the Amgen Tour of California the past week. These guys love their watches! Not pictured, Caleb Ewan's sweet AP.

Mine is the 14060 on perlon. Sorry for the last blurry pic. Was in a rush and didn't want to bother him 😉

Interesting notes on the below -

- The Sub was on the wrist of a 50 something. Said it was his dad's and as he passed away is now his.
- first vintage Daytona I've seen in the wild.
- new panda Daytona was purchased at a jeweler. Waiting list!
- cycling guys will know this last one...the missile got a big smile on his face when we started talking watches.

I've been watching a television series on Netflix called "Great British Menu" and it's been surprising to see how many top flight chef's wearing Rolex watches, primarily Submariner and GMT's.

He had it on at least one day. Asked him what happened to his yachtmaster rose gold on oysterflex a few years back. My Grail!
