Need some topnotch work? Continue reading...

I had a terrific experience with an overhaul on my Sea-Dweller 2000. This was not my first experience with having work done on it but I can assure you I won't be searching for any more watchmakers as Phillip Ridley, his father Bob and Jana, their office manager at WI Watchmakers International, are now my go-to team. For me, truly a treat!

Phillip and Bob serviced an heirloom 5513 for me, excellent work. They are a great team.

Is just me getting too suspicious after a few months of searching for a vintage rollie that ticks all the boxes and seeing all kinds of weird stuff in this part of the Rolex world, or am i not the only one feeling slightly uneasy about this very first post from the OP?

Are you sure you're replying to the right thread? The posters here are mentioning service experience with Ridley...a well-known established figure. Nobody's trying to sell anything here!

This thread is kind of funny since David Goetz did some self-promotion for Watchmakers International recently.

Mostly funny as Bob and Phillip doesn’t really need firstposters casting more doubt than anything else over their business. Their reputation was top notch long before posts like these started to pop up. I do hope this ip aren’t traced back to their office once again.

I can assure you that my post on WI’s work is not an inside job. I spent a considerable amount of time researching watchmakers that specialized in servicing the older rolexes. Even went through an AD and was rejected because the sc in PA would not work on antiques. WI was one of the reoccurring recommended shops on this site. I called the shop and spoke with Bob, he reminded me of a neighbor who said he was one of the pioneer watchmakers who migrated to Alaska. I did use Phillip’s pictures of my watch because they were much better than i could ever take.
