Another questionable (not really) Submariner.....

Interesting documentation, spelling on green hangtag, and amazingly visible LEC to say the least....

I was almost going to say the watch looked okay until I saw the 'SWIMPBUF' tag! I'm thinking, what in the hell is a 'swimpbuf'?

EDIT: I'm actually not 100% sure this watch is counterfeit. Other than the swimpruf tag, the LEC doesn't convince me to the contrary. IMO.

"swimpruf" is commonly found on some of these tags and in itself is no reason for concern.

Yes, but the tag says 'swimpbuf', not 'swimpruf'. The seller may have photoshopped the tag. That's the only explanation I could think of; if it is indeed authentic.

Hahah, sorry I misread - yeah that's weird. I don't think these tags are made by Rolex (could be wrong) so maybe this is a fluke error that someone has seen before. Having trouble finding anything wrong with the watch, but as is too often the case, who knows if this is really the watch that shows up at your doorstep.

Well, if you need some extra SWIMPBUF tags for those fake Rollies you plan to sell on eBay, you can buy'em HERE!

As for SWIMPRUF, according to Adam, it's legit.

Another questionable (not really) Submariner.....

Warranty card is another tell...cobbled set of fake items to make a fake look legit. Another clue - sleeper seller hasn't done a sale in over a year and then pops a few low cost items before launching this listing.

Agreed, no new warranty card is going to have a handwritten model number...

The x of Rolex on the left inner dial doesn't line up with the markers. It's the biggest tell.

LOL, he's relisted it again. This time with a genuine watch as the primary pic, and with the hand-written reference number on the warranty card obscured via photo-shop.

New listing reported, and invalidation requested for the previous one.

That's not a "tell" The "X" lines up on the 1,2,3,4,5 markers- "R" lines up on 7,8,9,10,11. Didn't see the listing but he watch pic above looks freaking legit.

Speaking solely about the watch- not the warranty card, tags, etc- what about it doesn't look legit?
