12 years of Omega and now to Rolex
My Rolex journey goes like this.
For 21st birthday my step father bought me an Omega Seamaster (the Goldeneye watch). I wore it everyday for about 12 years or so and decided I fancied a change. So visited my AD and asked to buy a Steel Daytona. I had no idea about Rolex “waiting lists” so ended up buying the new seamaster there and then. After a year or so, I got a call for a non date sub and sold the recently purchased Seamaster to buy it. I got lucky with timing and actually made a small profit. After spending time with the Sub and getting the Rolex bug. I’ve gone all in and bought an unworn 126515LN. After a long conversation with my AD, I didn’t feel I was likely to get the call so went to a dealer. Here’s the photos of each watch. [url=https://ibb.co/BnttD6P][/url |

Lovely collection of watches. Congratulations on the Daytona. It is my favourite iteration. Wear it in the best of health.

Congratulations! Love your new Daytona as I have the exact same same configuration (allocated from my AD after a 4 month wait). With regards to moving forward, it's ok to divest and not own everything Rolex. I own 3 Omega's which I love (Speedy, 50th Snoopy and Seamaster) and a Breitling Navitimer with a mint green dial that is absolutely beautiful.
So I know you have the Rolex bug (as do I), don't forget that there are some other great watches out there. |

Congrats! Beautiful collection. Nice Daytona. Big Omega fan, here. Still miss my orange bezel PO and various Speedies.

That Daytona is fantastic. That and the sub is a decent 2 watch collection.

Cool journey. A Bond Seamaster was the first high quality automatic I bought in the late 90's. I wish I had kept it, but it was a Sub or Sea Dweller I really wanted and that ended up being a sickness.
As I recall the price at the time was really good on a preowned one. Maybe $850 if my memory is correct. |

Thanks for the comments. I don’t have the Omega’s anymore, though wish I’d kept the original, as I only had about £1200 for it. I’m also deliberating whether to keep or sell the sub.
