“Seiko Time Corp”
I’ve often wondered why the rotor on Seiko movements has “Seiko Time Corp” written on it. Kind of oddly charming, since I’ve never heard anybody ever refer to the company as such. Could it be something lost in translation?

“Since 1967, when Tokyo's K. Hattori & Co. set up Seiko Time Corp. in New York, Seiko has been the company's hero brand here.”

It's not unusual for watch companies to put their full name on their movements. Rolex does it, for one (Montres Rolex S.A.)
