Perhaps you can help me troubleshoot PAM
My PAM024 has something wrong with it. When I release the lever to adjust the time, the wheel pops out all the way by itself and turning it does nothing. My watch is just a few months old and I bought it brand new from one of the site's dealers. Help me ?? Thanks !

Oh oh. Sounds like you'll need to send it to PASC. Is it under warranty?

Had a similar issue with my PAM 48 after 6 years where the crown stopped working. My AD sent it to Panerai and it came back working fine.
Not sure how old your watch is, but ETA movements, similar to Rolex, may need servicing starting around the 5 year mark. The good news is that its such a common movement that if you want to save a few dollars, almost any reputable watch maker can probably fix it for you. I've never used him, but many on TRF recommend Rikki for service. |

My watch is covered under warranty. It just pisses me off that my most expensive timepiece is broken and I have to wear a a Timex until it comes back. I'm not too impressed with Panerai.

I traded a Sea Dweller (and some cash) for my Panerai. I really like the PAM (when it works as it should). I'll wear my Sinn U1 until the PAM comes back.

This type of thing happens with ALL watch brands. No one is infallable. That is a 7750 movement. Proven reliable. I bet I know the problem already. The screw that holds the crown stem has loosed causing the stem to not engage. Sucks that it happened to you, but it happens with all brands to a small percentage of people.

PITA, no doubt, but, that's what the warranty is for. And as mik says, it can happen with any watch. Sorry that happened, but, it will come back better than ever and you will much more likely than not have decades of care-free enjoyment ahead of you. |

The Arfcom thread is entertaining.
Sorry to hear of your bad luck though. Hope it's a quick fix. |

I've heard problems with Patek's, Rolex, AP...the list goes on. All new or otherwise. These are mechanical items we relish after all. Best of luck to you!
