So... just a Tank Francaise in quartz and a new Tank LC in rose gold? Kind of a weak showing IMHO.

There also seems to be a stainless steel time-only Tank Americaine (three-hander in small and large sizes) and a skeletonized Tank Cintree in platinum and rose gold.

I recently spoke with a writer at a watch blog. It seems like they know about the 100th anniversary release details, but they're restricted from posting about it until some predetermined date (which I believe he mentioned as sometime in Sepetember). This was probably an oversight on the site that was linked here.

I want to see an ultra thin Tank LC with sapphire caseback like the CPCP version from a few years ago.

Thanks for the links.

Still think this is a big opportunity missed for Cartier. Even if they didn't come up with a good Tank watch for the 100th anniversary, you'd think that they would market whatever they did release.

Starting to see that Rolex really is miles ahead when it comes to marketing.

OMG!

New Tank LC in midsize and large with a manual movement. These watches are stunning.

The one on the left is pretty small, Bas. The large model on the right is still pretty small. It's less than 34mm x 26mm. Perfect for a dress watch!

I wouldn't mind wearing a smaller Tank than my current one, I'm an old man in a young man's body back in the olden days men used to wear watches in the 32mm range and even smaller.

That's true. I have a decent sized wrist so I feel like the "large" version (small by modern standards) will work well for me.

Both watches use the 8971 MC movement. I cannot find any info on this movement though. Do you know anything about it? Is it a Piaget based movement?

I have small 6.5'' wrists so the small one would probably look fine

I can't tell you anything about that particular movement, never seen one. I will get back to you should I ever come across one.

I like the steel Americaine as well, the quartz one that is. They should have ditched the automatic movements and second hand and make it manual with two hands like the quartz.

Yep, totally agree.

My wrist is almost 8" so I'm afraid that the new Tank LC would look a off. If the Tank Americaine was as you described, it would be perfect for me!

I hope so but who knows. Never thought that Cartiers marketing was on point.

going to have to try this on.

been wanting a Cartier like this for a long time... the cintree would be a done deal but this may work.

next closest choice would be a JLC reverso... however, never had the slightest desire to reverse my watch

Got the chance to have a look at the new Tan Americaine in stainless steel. Very nice watch, but the larger size looked too small on my 8" wrist.

These would look great on a black leather strap. Not feeling the brown.
