Cartier Tank 100th Anniversary

2017 will be the 100th anniversary of Cartier's iconic Tank watch. Should we expect something special from Cartier this year?

The hands are attached to two separate transparent disks. The entire disk rotate giving the impression of floating hands.

This is my understanding of how it works.

So I have been observing this thread since January now, as I have been suspecting the same thing regarding the Tank 100th Anniversary.

Anyways, I sometimes go on the official Cartier website and chat with their ambassadors about the upcoming collection. Let me tell you this: funnily enough, some of them had been told not to say anything concerning the collection - as they want to focus on the Panthere in the first half of 2017.

But I kept going on the website over the months asking the same thing. Luckily, about a few months ago, I was told by an ambassador that the Anniversary collection will actually be 3 different lines, which are to be announced around mid-year and released in around September. (I am so gutted I didn't screenshot the conversation, but these are the points I sort of remember).

I'm just hoping they'll announce something soon.

Does Cartier normally do independent releases rather than at Basel and SIHH?

Thank goodness! Ignoring such s milestone would be a huge blunder for such a well sorted brand.

Would love to see a unique tank.
