Patek 5167
Are these now impossible to get from an AD? I want one in the worst way.

They're not if you're willing to look for them outside of New York. My AD in Miami had one a couple of weeks ago. Call some AD's an you should be able to find one.

Will Patek ADs post watches across the country? In UK a lot of them won't and I imagine none will on the popular SS now.

I know of two US dealers that have them. Not so hard to get.

I've been looking for a 5167 SS on rubber as well... seems almost impossible to find!

I bet that if you call around like sgfortino in the “new member, new 5711/a” thread, you will find one soon. Good luck! It is my favorite watch to wear.

On my recent trip to Hong Kong, I have walked into all Patek ADs around the island. Non of them has stock and long wait list for 5167. Didn't even bother to ask about 5712 and 5711. At least in Singapore, I've found one AD which had stock for 5167 bracelet model (should be gone by now). I passed as I was only slightly interested in the rubber strap model. Ultimately, 5712/A is what I am going after.

I just walked in to my California AD and bought mine. They said the waitlist is not very long.

I also live in NYC -- Tourneau guy laughed at me when I inquired (they are the worst). I bought mine in 2015 by cold-calling PP AD's...my third call, I found one in Illinois (CD Peacock), I wired them the money, they sent me the 5167, untouched, and no sales tax! Good luck hunting.

Called Wempe in Manhattan this morning and said no stock but wait list isn't too bad. I take that as 1-2 month wait?

If anyone wants to PM me the name of a dealer with one in stock, I would greatly appreciate it.
Seems like an influx of 5167r lately but no 5167a |

Go visit Lyndon Chan at Wempe in NYC. You may wait a month or two, but that's not bad.

5711
I found some AD with 5167 and 5164. Unfortunately some dealers are using them as leverage. They wanted me to purchase other time pieces before selling them. That was a turn off but oh well.....;(

I had one tell me that when trying to buy a 5711/1R so it's a tactic for all sport watches I guess. Pretty crazy when Patek says they want to appeal to the younger generation.

I got my 5167/a by chance at my local AD, but when I bought my 5711 abroad, the AD had a 5167/a in the display case as well as a 5164/a, 5712/r, 5167 on bracelet. Quite a few SS models at one time.
wow that's pretty insane. |

It's kinda funny, isn't it? If you slip out of our WIS mentality for a minute and actually think about it. Someone putting you on a 8 month waiting list to give you the opportunity to buy an extremely overpriced and superfluous object. To which our answer is "Yes, please".

I got 5% off from my AD. There was also one not displayed at another AD in NoVa a month ago.

I was recently added to a 5167 waitlist and was quoted an estimated 3 to 6 months.

I sold mine and regret it every day.
One of my dealers is working on getting me one hopefully this week! I'm ok with getting a pre-loved one in good condition. Its seriously the best watch I've ever had. I think its better than much higher priced PP or AP options. The thickness, weight, etc. Either way, can you guys point me to the right direction in case things go south? |
