If you’re smoking, you are presumably not currently on board your private jet?

Would you go as far to declscribe a Ferrari as "hideous"?

That's it. I'm taking a knee during the WRUW from now on until people stop posting Ferrari pictures OR my 5522A is delivered.

Upon seeing the thread again... I'd like to clarify that the intent of this post was to discourage further speculation about the net worth of individual members. Not only is not possible to say who's #1, it's not important and not in good taste (although I believe Arnaud intended only to be complimentary)

If it came off differently than intended, I apologize for that

Yes I intended to be complimentary and funny, since Roger does have the most crazy incomings for sure. I really don't care who has the most money, certainly not me, my drive is as basic as it gets, my interest in people is intelligence, moral standards, kindness, sense of humor and if possible culture but not obligatory, and if there are other positive aspects it's just bonus, I have friends from very different social and financial spectrums, and couldn't care less how much money they have or don't have. No need to apologize my friend I understood perfectly

Just kidding given all of the stress on here (except that I did order one).

Looks great to me!

Lastly I am relatively new to TRF and certainly prone to respond if I feel provoked. My apologies for contributing to any less than gentlemanly conduct. It is nice to be surrounded by a community of watch enthusiast. I will personally try to give people the benefit of the doubt going forward. No promises made however if trolled:)

Glad to have you here!

i genuinely curious how you amassed such an impressive collection, presumably over many years and just found the forum recently? In any case, welcome

Usually the forum is a contributing factor to our collections getting out of hand, yet yours was already that way before you joined

I don't know that I have an explanation. I started collecting back in the very early 1990s. I bought a very simple Rolex that my wife now wears. From there I just kept adding. 1 turned into 6 and so on. Excuses to buy such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc led to further additions. Just kind of my thing and my wife always supported it. As she instructed "I don't care if you you have 50 watches in your life as long as only one women". Seemed fair to me.

In terms of the forum until recently I didn't have much or any down time. I was always either at work, going to it or flying home or spending time watching my kids play sports. I am now blessed to have the luxury of time although I miss the hectic nature of the last 30 years.

I was aware of this site and others but would occasionally look and then move on. Either to much of a hassle in my mind to "figure it out" or better to read and stay in the shadows so as not to be a show off.

Candidly one of the reasons I always enjoyed watches was because so few people understood how much they cost. My parents were civil servants so I was almost embarrassed to have such luxuries. I wasn't particularly comfortable talking about it with others.

I now realize I am not alone or unique. I also realize that sharing and participating can be fun. Thanks to everyone.

If I elicited tears at least you can use the 5522 to pruduce champagne per prior post. Once again wear it in good health.

Here is a pic of the lume that is on this watch. It is amazingly very good, I was very surprised when I saw how it was glowing this morning.
