Am I the only one...

...who often glances down to see what time it is, but instead gets caught up staring at how nice looking the watch is and the smooth second hand sweep, only to go about business 10 seconds later without ever realizing what time it was?

I am the same, got my subdate in July and am forever having a glance or two down. An annoying thing is find the V on the bezel has moved - even if only say from the hour to aQuarter Two, I fiddle around to get it back to the Hour sign

I forgot to wind my properly today, it was running half an hour late before I realised and closed the package I'd quickly addressed to RSC.

Ha this happens all the time to me. The funniest is when I do it, my lady asks what time it is and I respond with looking back down at the watch to see the time. She just laughs now!

It's a problem when you're driving. It happened to day on the way in with the SD's dial and flat finish. It really caught me...

To others it must look as though I'm saying to myself, "Now the big hand is on the 10, and the little hand is on the six, so it must be.... ummm ...."

Of course. GUILTY. I've spent so much time researching and reading about my two Rolexes that when I look at them on my wrist I am compelled to drive in to the details that moat couldn't care less about. The little letters on the words are so sharp and clear and they have some height, not just printed on. On and on and on.
