white on white

i had been contemplating and seeking this strap setup for some time.
aren't many options available to close the lug gap, which is what i was looking to achieve.

i understand everest and rubber B straps actually fit the smp300 models...however, i was hoping to utilize the oem deployant.

had the black version of this PO strap for awhile...but the combo just didn't work for me.

then FINALLY was able to find this very specific white version. don't see it around much, so i feel lucky to have grabbed it.

i think it works very well with the great white!

I really like it. It has a very clean look to it. I think it works well and makes a great combo. Congratulations on finding the strap.

wearing it all weekend. and the more i wear/look at it, the more i think this dial+bezel configuration works better on this white rubber strap than on its original steel bracelet.

especially given it's technically a diver with 300m rating, more fitting to be on a rubber strap!

another angle shot to show the 'flow' of the white - as if the strap+dial is actually a single flowing unit, and the case+bezel are merely floating around it.

Yup. You can see why that model is affectionately known as the "great white," and it was Omega's answer to the polar Explorer 2. I personally think Omega nailed it with the design, and the hands have surprisingly great contrast with the dial.

nyc winter has only just begun, so will have to patiently wait a few months to bring this one back out into the warm sun.
